A Heart-Centered Approach to Nervous System Healing

Shannon’s approach is compassionate, steady, and deeply attuned. You are never rushed, judged, or pressured to share more than you wish. Her work integrates nervous system education with intuitive presence, creating a space where healing unfolds naturally and respectfully.

Each client leaves with a simple, personalized grounding practice to support integration between sessions. This may include a regulation tool, resourcing cue, or body-based practice to help you return to safety and self-trust in everyday life.

Trauma-Informed Nervous System Support to Help You Feel Safe in Your Body Again

At Utah Energy Healing Center, Shannon Egan offers trauma-informed Somatic Experiencing® sessions that support nervous system regulation, emotional release, and gentle reconnection with your body’s innate wisdom.

Grounded in the Somatic Experiencing® approach developed by Dr. Peter A. Levine, this body-based method helps you move through stress, overwhelm, and stored trauma with steadiness and care. Sessions are offered in-person at Utah Energy Healing Center in Salt Lake City.

Why Book Somatic Experiencing® with Shannon?

Somatic Experiencing® is not about reliving painful memories or forcing emotional breakthroughs. It is a gentle, collaborative process that helps your nervous system complete what may have been interrupted during overwhelming experiences.

Shannon works slowly and respectfully—tracking sensations, breath, and subtle cues—to build capacity, restore a sense of safety, and support lasting change. Each session honors your pace, your boundaries, and your readiness.

Clients often seek Somatic Experiencing® support for:

  • Anxiety, stress, and chronic overwhelm

  • Trauma recovery and emotional regulation

  • Nervous system dysregulation and shutdown

  • Panic, hypervigilance, or feeling constantly “on edge”

  • Grief, life transitions, and burnout recovery

This work invites you to slow down and discover what your body has been communicating all along.

What to Expect During Your Session

Your session begins by creating a sense of safety and clarity around what you are currently experiencing. The focus remains on present-moment awareness and nervous system support—not on pushing through or revisiting trauma in overwhelming ways.

You may explore grounding practices, titration (small, manageable steps), and resourcing tools that help your system build stability while processing at a pace that feels safe.

You do not need a clear story or specific trauma label to benefit. Many clients arrive simply feeling anxious, numb, disconnected, or stuck.

Common questions that arise include:

  • Why do I feel anxious even when things seem “fine”?

  • How can I come down from fight-or-flight?

  • Why do I freeze or shut down?

  • How do I release tension stored in my body?

  • What helps me feel grounded and present?

Every session is tailored to your unique nervous system and current capacity.
